As March came to an end, Maria Carrillo High School hosted its annual elections to determine the next year’s student body leadership roles. After a few days of counting and collecting votes, the results are finally in.

For MCHS’s future sophomores, Sungbin Kim has been elected president, William Atieh as vice president, Stone Gosar as secretary, and Niko Hopfer as treasurer.

The next year’s juniors have chosen Yihe Wang for the role of president, Kalea Wilson to be vice president, Tava Carrillo as secretary, and Chloe Griffen Holm as treasurer.

Carrillo’s soon-to-be seniors, the only grade of upperclassmen to vote for the next year’s student leadership, chose Siena Deneault to become their senior year president, Carlo Cuniberti as vice president, and Rylee Paris as secretary.

Unfortunately, the current seniors of the 2025-2026 school year do not get to vote for the next year’s student body, as they will be off on their own journeys by the start of the 2026-2027 year.

Concerning ASB positions, Sydney Buonaccorsi has been elected for the position of secretary, Alexa Trillo is now the multimedia director, Emma Lenzi is the treasurer, and Lucas Famini and Gabe Goodrich are the ASB vice president and president, respectively.

Many candidates have voiced their desire to make Carrillo a better place, and the new class of student officials show great promise in this regard. Carrillo congratulates those elected, and looks forward to seeing their impact on the school.
