Nate Wall has been the Assistant coach of Maria Carrillo High School’s Varsity Baseball team for around seven years, a position that significantly impacts the success of the baseball program.

Wall describes himself as just a “chill guy [who loves] shoes, tattoos, and baseball.” Despite his relaxed demeanor, he brings a high level of intensity to each practice and game which inspires a winning mentality in the entire team.

Raised in Rohnert Park, California, Wall attended Rancho Cotate High School and as a young kid he has always had a passion for sports, especially baseball. He has been playing multiple sports since he was a young kid, and after high school he started playing semi-professional baseball, which further improved his skills and helped him gain experience. In 2018, he became the Assistant coach of the baseball team at MCHS and his expertise helped the team immensely, in advancing to the playoffs multiple times and even reaching championship games.

Wall began coaching at MCHS to “start the next chapter in my baseball career.”

One of the things he wishes to bring to the baseball team every day is positive winning values such as, “being better than you were yesterday…doing things with intent…taking accountability,” as well as being competitive amongst other high school teams.

One of the reasons Wall decided to join the MCHS baseball team is because of the number of kids who are willing to work hard to create a successful program. Despite being offered different head coaching jobs at other schools over the years, he stayed at MCHS time and time again because of the hard work, dedication, and the high-level standard displayed from the players. Wall will continue to be a coach for a while longer as he said he strives to compete against the best and against our rivals, he especially wants to “beat Newman and win tournaments.”

Wall is not just the Assistant Coach, he is also the owner of Grapevine Facility Maintenance, which specializes in landscaping services that he started from the ground up. Wall wanted to be independent, in charge of his own schedule, and his own boss. The rise of his company gave him freedom. With his personal business, Wall can also focus on spending time on his other interests such as training his Pocket American Bullies for local dog competitions. He even has his own social media account where he posts his dogs.

Wall is a passionate coach who strives to help the baseball team continue to be competitive and become champions. He walks out to the sandy diamond field ready to compete and improve every day.
